It’s a great training event for anyone doing an autumn marathon, especially true for anyone doing the Marathon Eryri given it's 16 miles and a challenging first 10k of constant elevation.
Despite a lot of rain leading up to the event, the weather conditions were very warm, for the midday start in Brecon.

The event starts with some steep road running, then it's into trail. Conditions under foot were challenging on the trail/ Roman Road section otherwise it was road running over a rolling course – with the added twist of an updated finish to the castle at Cyfarthfa.
Phillip Mears (club chairman) was the sole WRR member taking part this year.
