This year was the 20th anniversary of the reincarnation of the Cardiff Half which has seen many choices of route over the years. Time for many of the club to take on familiar roads, but this time, traffic free and with great support from the city!

It was a super turnout by WRR and WR3 members (see below), and an overall attendance of approx. 20,000 finishers this year.
As is often the case in the UK, the weather conditions played their part. It was warm and humid for an October Sunday morning and many in the event suffered with this, especially in the latter stages of the event. Great running by all members though with everyone finishing, and in good health – I’m sure the post race hydration strategy for many helped!!!
This is always an iconic event in South Wales with many of our members already signing up for 2024 – let’s hope it’s a little cooler/ less humid for that one.
