Lliswerry has fast become one of the most popular local races especially for South Wales running club with the t-shirts becoming prized assets each year. The distance is unique at 8 miles and on a flat fast course which makes for a good gauge as to where you training/ fitness is

As is the norm this is was the first event of our 2024 Club Championship with an earlier start than in prior years but the 9am start didn’t deter 6 members getting to the start line for this year’s event. The thought that the wind would cause so gust/ head wind on the course didn’t come to anything and the conditions were almost perfect for the run.

An excellent arranged event by Lliswerry Runners with supportive and plentiful marshals on the course and at the end of the run the tee was the reward followed by a trip to the charity cake sale back at race HQ
