This weekend saw White Rock Runners out in full force as we hit a major milestone in our Club Championship series, whilst also stepping up to support the incredible work of @bigmoose.charity at their Ultra Fun Run in the heart of Cardiff’s Coopers’ Field.

We were proud to have nine of our runners lace up for this inspiring event, joining a buzzing crowd united by the goal of raising funds and awareness for mental health support and community initiatives.

The course was a familiar one for many of our runners — but just to add a twist, the sun made a surprise appearance midway through, turning up the heat and testing everyone’s stamina and spirit in the heavily congested park.

A Proud Moment for White Rock
running
It was a day full of smiles, sweat, and solidarity. Whether chasing PBs, Championship points, or simply running for the joy of it, every member gave it their all. Most importantly, we were honoured to be part of something bigger — supporting a cause that means so much to so many.

Congratulations to all our runners, and to everyone who took part — near or far — in what was truly a celebration of community, resilience, and purpose.
next time
Until the next run — keep showing up, showing out, and running with heart.
event
Thanks to Cai Llewellyn Jones for our event wrap up there. It was a packed weekend of running and outdoor sport, with everyone making the most of the mild spring weather. Final shout outs go to the WRR contingent at Newport: Georgina Ewer doing the half marathon, and Paul Davies completing the 26.2miles of the marathon route.
recovery
Congratulations to everyone and enjoy those well-earned recoveries.
