One 'silver lining' of the COVID era was that clubs had to improvise and come up with their own in-house events, and this legacy lives on in several of our White Rock Tri offerings.

First up this year was our Seawall Duathlon. A flat, fast run-bike-run near Goldcliff, Newport. This year we were happy to welcome along a couple of members from NEWT tri club too.

Whilst it's a comparatively low key event, any "race of truth" against the clock is always a stern challenge, and the duathlon offered great transition/pacing practice for the season ahead. Congratulations to all those who completed the event, with extra kudos to Ffion Jones for a new women's course record - 1:48:37, and to John Fitzpatrick who beat his own existing course record with a 1:17:20.
