In its 3rd year of running, like the Porthcawl 10k, it felt like this event was still trying to find its feet as an established but different 10k to take place as part of the Run Wales 10k series.
The weather was kind for spectators/ visitors to the island but not so good for the runners with warm temperatures & bright sunshine for the 10am start. The race start was on the prom side of the funfair and then took runners out onto the MIllennium road heading out of Barry for mostly 2 miles of near flat surface. The race then turned back with some undulations taking in Romilly Park, the Knap, the Old Harbour and part of Whitmore Bay before looping the outside of the fun fair back to the start/finish line
The while pre & post race was what you come to expect from a Run Wales event and is another good varied 10k to undertake - the medal & t-shirt also being similar to the other 2022 10k events
